Indian Head Massage Treatment
After an initial consultation I will invite you sit in a comfortable chair, where you will remain fully clothed throughout the treatment.
The technique utilises whole hand, fingers and thumbs to treat the shoulders, arms, neck, head and face to relax, stimulate, invigorate, warm and ease muscular tension, depending on the movement employed.
Warm oil can be added to the scalp during the session, however this is not essential, and does not hinder the benefits if oil is not used.
I offer aftercare advice following a treatment. As your body will respond in a way that is individual to you, I encourage self-care, allowing your body restore balance.
A treatment, including consultation can take between 45 – 50 minutes.
What is Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage as a practice is rooted in the ancient form of healing, known as Ayurveda, originating in India.
The massage focuses on the soft tissue of the upper back, shoulders, arms, hands, neck, head, scalp and face to relieve tension in the muscle tissue, improving blood circulation, lymph drainage, thus promoting the removal of toxins from the body. It is a deeply calming, relaxing treatment, where the client can also feel revitalised, energised, with greater mobility and flexibility in the joints of the neck and shoulders.
